All of our classes are taught online and include weekly live sessions with instructors and students hosted on ZOOM. The live online experience is similar in many ways to a traditional classroom experience.
Participating students can interact with their instructors, ask questions, and connect with fellow students (all from the comfort of home). Course materials, assignments, and class recordings are all available online.
Your primary instructor is listed under “Meet Your Instructor” on the course page.
Each course has a specific number of weeks listed at the top of the course page, usually between 4-8 weeks on average.
Absolutely. We encourage students to take the courses they are the most excited about. See the details for each course on the course page.
Excellent question. Typically, your class will meet 1 time per week with your instructor. The course assignments are self-paced outside of the class session. Each course is 2 hours in length unless specified otherwise. The date and time for each course are detailed on the course page and the confirmation email sent to your inbox.
Participants in our programs should plan to attend livestream classes. However, if you cannot attend, students should make arrangements with their instructor prior to the start of class.
Many of our courses also allow students to enroll as auditors. Auditors observe live classes and/ or re-watch class recordings, with a less “on-the-spot” experience. If you cannot make all of the course’s live classes, auditing is a great option.
The majority of our programs do not require prerequisite courses. However, our Professional Training performance program courses are designed primarily for intermediate-to-advanced actors and performers; if you’re a beginning performance student, we encourage you to start at our Youth level. University programs may require prerequisites and/ or minimum admission criteria. Please feel free to ask us for more information.
Many of our Performance program courses allow students to enroll as participants and auditors. As an auditor, students can observe a Livestream class, but auditors are not full participants. Auditors observe and participate remotely at their own pace; they do not interact with the instructor or participating students directly.
Auditing a course is ideal for:

There is an application fee for admission into University Degree Programs and the international College Bridge Program. Students must pay a one-time $65 (USD) fee when completing the application.
Yes! The certificate or degree program will be offered, taught and administered by the university – on the Emerge platform. Your certificate or degree will be sent to you by the university with the university credentials upon successful completion.
Great Question! Typically, the certificate programs consist of 4 courses total. There are some exceptions but feel free to reach out with any questions.
Each course is 4 weeks long. So, you can complete a full certificate in a single semester.
Absolutely! We encourage students to take courses that they feel drawn to and inspired by. However, the certificate only requires 4 courses total to complete.
You will meet once a week for 4 weeks. Each class is 2 hours in length. The exact date and time will be detailed on the course page and sent to your inbox upon enrollment.
No problem. You will be able to access your courses content and recordings from ‘My Dashboard’. Simply login after the class has ended and you will be able to review class recordings at your convenience.
Not to worry. Each course will be offered on a rolling 4 week cycle. This gives you plenty of time to sign up for the next round of courses and programs in 4 weeks, giving you time to enroll and get prepared for an exciting journey ahead.
The universities require payment in full prior to the start of the first class session. However, Emerge will allow you to pay in installments and offers payment options to allow you to pay for your education as-you-go at an affordable price.
Be sure to read the requirements carefully when applying to US universities. Some will require standardised tests (e.g. GRE, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT), and others will ask for different documents (writing samples, portfolio, list of patents) as part of the application process. Most students apply to 3-5 universities to increase their chances of being admitted.
University application fees are usually between 75-100 USD, depending on the university. If you have trouble paying your admission fee, contact the university or programme directly. Non-US students may be required to supply proof that their English-language skills are proficient enough to attend classes. Be sure to have your TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, PTE Academic, or C1 Advanced certificates available.
The US doesn’t currently have an application system for all universities.
To ensure that you are able to effectively learn and participate in your classes, you will need to show that you have good enough English-language skills to apply for admission to a U.S. university. The minimum scores will depend largely on the programme and the university. Most U.S. universities will accept one of these tests:
Different universities and programmes will require different documents. However, these are the items you are most likely to need if you apply to a university in the US:
If you are applying for an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree in the US, universities will typically offer two application deadlines – early admission and regular admission.
If you’re applying for the fall (autumn) admission, early deadlines will be between October and November, the previous year.
If you’re applying for the fall (autumn) admission, regular admission deadlines will be between February and March, the same year.
If you are applying for a postgraduate (Master’s or PhD) degree, your American university application deadline will depend on the semester in which you are enrolling (spring intake or fall intake).
If you are applying for the fall admission, your deadline can be anywhere from January to March.
If you are applying for the spring admission, your deadline is probably anywhere between July and September, the previous year.
These deadlines can vary drastically depending on which programme you are applying for or which university you wish to attend. Be sure to contact the programme itself if you’re not sure about the correct deadline.
Congratulations on getting your acceptance letter!
If you aren’t a US citizen, you will need to use your acceptance letter to apply for the F-1 student visa.
Be sure to take some time to apply for funding and scholarships. You can also check out the Study portals Scholarship to get some help on financing your studies abroad.
Check whether the university you applied to requires an enrolment fee to secure your spot there.
Celebrate your victory of being admitted to the university of your dreams!
